Beading ClassesCome and learn about the Native American Art of Beading
with instructor Lorén Spears (Narragansett/Niantic)
This session of 5 classes will briefly overview the history of beading and how Native People use them for ornamentation and decoration with a focus on the Eastern Woodland Tribes.
Over the five weeks participants will be introduced to a variety of styles of beadwork.
Week 1: Indian Corn Earrings
Week 2: Sweet Grass Earrings
Week 3: Corn Husk Dolls with Beaded Apron & headband
Week 4: Bead loom bracelet or headband
Week 5: Continue bead loom project
Class Cost: $25 each
Full Session Discount: $100 for 5 classes ($25 savings!) due by September 9th
Basic Beading Materials included
(may bring your own/specialty beads for sale)
