Tomaquag Camps

For a number of years, Tomaquag Museum ran very successful summer and winter camps for youth ages 6 to 17. These camps incorporated Native culture and arts in the camp experience. Campers hiked through the rural Arcadia Park. They kayaked on Browning Mill Pond. They did water exploration in Roaring Brook acting as environmental scientists delving into the health of the brook. Campers played a variety of games that focused on team building and creative problem solving. All camps incorporated Native cooking, games, arts, language, and sciences.
Unfortunately, we were forced to put the camps on hiatus due to insufficient funding. However, we hope you will enjoy looking at the pictures from some of our past camps.
